Andrew Peterson launches the 15th annual Behold The Lamb of God Christmas tour with opening at the Miamisburg Christian Church on Wednesday, December 3 at 7pm with special guest Ben Shive, 2014 Dove winner for Producer of Christmas Album of the Year.

Peterson launched the Christmas tour in 1999 to present a musical rendition of the Christmas story and reinforce the true meaning of the season. It was immediately embraced by fans nationwide because of the powerful performance and entertaining stories. The result was multiple sold-out venues and yearly return engagements. In 2004, fan support led Peterson to record the album, Behold the Lamb of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ, and the project won 2004 Best Album of the Year, World Christian Music Editor’s Award and was named by Rhapsody.com as one of the ten best Christian albums of the decade.

14-CITY TOUR WITH OPENING NIGHT AT MIAMISBURG CHRISTIAN CHURCH FEATURES GUEST ARTISTS BEN SHIVE, JILL PHILLIPS, ANDY GULLAHORN, AND CALEB CHAPMAN (COLONY HOUSE).

This concert is expected to sell out on opening night. Tickets available now. Tickets are $30 for Gold Circle seating and $20 for General Admission seating.

    Gaither Christmas Homecoming

  • December 12, 2014

Christmas for the Preborn, a one hour ceremony of song and prayer which commemorates the lives of preborn babies lost through elective abortion, will be held from 11 am to Noon, Friday, December 12th, in front of the Women’s Med Center abortion mill at 1401 East Stroop Rd. in Kettering.

According to the event's organizer, Vivian Skovgard, “We're mourning the loss of the brief lives of those who were surgically or chemically aborted and we are honoring them – and reflecting on our loss, because they would have touched us and others in their own special way.” The lives of over 35 preborn babies are destroyed each week at the Kettering facility, she added.

“In addition,” she said, “we will be celebrating life with gifts, which will be distributed to local women's resource and support centers.”

“This year, as in previous years, we're asking people to donate disposable diapers – sizes 4, 5 and 6 – and baby wipes as gifts. We estimate that local women’s support centers distribute over 70,000 diapers a year, and demand keeps growing. These centers do a marvelous job for women in crisis situations and provide a variety of services, including free pregnancy tests, counseling, maternity and baby clothing, post abortion support, free ultrasounds, support classes, parent training, referrals for community resources, and medical and social services. They rely on private donations and deserve all the support we can give them. We will also purchase diapers for those who wish to contribute money to the cause.”

In past years, Mrs. Skovgard said, high school groups have participated in the program: “It’s a good way to get into the spirit of the season in a way that emphasizes some of the deeper meanings of Christmas.”

Support and resource centers receiving the donations include Miami Valley Women's Center (with centers in Kettering, Huber Heights, and Xenia), Elizabeth's New Life Center (in Dayton, Kettering, Lebanon, Sharonville, and Sydney), and the women's material resource center operated by the Dayton Right to Life Society.”

“At the December 13th event we'll have hot apple cider, Christmas songs, prayer, and announcements of up coming pro life events. We welcome everyone – especially those with great singing voices,” Mrs. Skovgard said.

For highlights and pictures of past programs, go to www.maxlifer.com/christmas_m.html.

Those unable to attend the Dec. 12 event can arrange to donate diapers or make contributions anytime through the end of the year.
