Get to know 93.7 The Light

93.7 The Light (WFCJ-FM) is a broadcast ministry of Strong Tower Christian Media, whose mission is to use multiple media platforms to reach more hearts with deeper impact by sharing the love of Jesus through Biblical teaching and worshipful music. We broadcast 50,000 watts from our 541 foot tower in Miamisburg, Ohio, our city of license.  From there, our signal blankets Dayton, Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana.

93.7 The Light airs the best in Christian teaching and talk 24/7.  We start your weekday mornings with the only live, local Christian morning show in Dayton and Cincinnati – called “Living Life”. Then, throughout the day our programs will help you grow in your faith, strengthen your Biblical world view and provide practical help in managing your finances and relationships in a God-honoring way.

We offer one additional format, a 24/7 praise and worship channel through HD broadcasting and live-streaming from our website 937thelight.com.  Take us with you wherever you go by downloading our free mobile app in the Apple or Google Play Store.

WFCJ went on the air January 7, 1961 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; the first Christian FM station in the area, and the second in the state of Ohio. Commercially licensed, one-third of our funding comes from commercial and broadcast partners;  the remaining two-thirds from the donations of individuals and families.

We appreciate your prayers and support which help keep The Light on the air!

The Team at 93.7 The Light

Tracy Figley

President / CEO

Tracy has been passionate about Christian radio since childhood. He was born one month after WEEC started broadcasting, listened to the station at his home in West Liberty every day, all day, and he was creating radio dramas complete with sound effects by age 7. He dreamed of returning to the station he loved as an announcer one day, but he had no idea how much God had in store for his life.

He earned a degree in Radio Production and Broadcast Management from Liberty University to help him pursue his passion, and he landed his dream job as afternoon announcer on WEEC in 1988. Later, he succeeded Mike Maddex as General Manager, and in 2011 he became the CEO of Strong Tower Christian Media, the parent organization of WEEC and WFCJ. Tracy also serves on the Board of Directors for The Rock Radio Network, a mission radio network in Puerto Rico, and thanks God for a career beyond his wildest dreams.

Daryl Pierce

Daryl grew up in a little town in northeast Ohio called Andover. He graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and while there felt God leading him into Christian radio. After graduating and running the MVNU campus radio station, Daryl left to help put WNLT in Cincinnati on the air. He later joined STAR 93 (WAKW) in 1992 and worked there until 2014. Daryl began his full time work at STCM in October of 2014. Daryl says he “loves working for STCM because of their passionate focus on ministry.”
